iTrends

Yesterday I attended Leadership Day at the Michigan Library Association. I was asked to Chair an MLA work group for 2008-2009 called "iTrends." Our charge is to create a professional development opportunity (ie. workshop) on the topic of information trends. There are seven people on the committee. The former Reference Division ("Division Formerly Known as Reference" before MLA re-structured) proposed the iTrends program, but I am the only person from that Division who is part of the actual iTrends work group. The new committee can revise it and re-fashion it to their ideas. I think that, although this will be a lot of work, it will be a good project to work on this year. I am definitely interested in this subject!
